About

Located on the North-Western outskirts of the town, Gala Sunderland is a large purpose-built venue sitting proudly just next to the banks of the River Wear. Easily accessible from both sides of the river thanks to being closely positioned next to the A1231, the club is easy to get to by car and public transport alike.

Arrive by car and you will find a large car park to the front of the club with space for around 150 cars – this is usually sufficient – even at busy times. You will also find it easy to get to via bus with routes 11, 18, 18A, 99, 135 and 136 all stopping on Pallion New Road right outside the club itself. Just stop at the Queen Alexandra Bridge South End stop.

There is not too much going on in the immediate locality as it is a little out of the centre, but a short drive will bring you to all the sights and sounds that Sunderland has to offer. In all honesty, though, you can make a real trip out of your visit to Gala Sunderland without the need to go elsewhere.

The club is well blessed with the facilities that it has and you will find all the usual trimmings of a Gala Bingo hall here.

Expect to find some top arcades with the latest slot machines to keep you entertained between games – or you can just go to play on these if bingo is not so appealing to you.

You will also find an excellent bar and diner serving good quality food and drinks all day every day – there are also some top offers available on top of the already low prices.

The club has disabled access and facilities to match and also has a hearing loop available for those with hearing impairment. If you need cash then fear not as there is also an ATM on site for your convenience.

Opening Hours

There are just two sessions of bingo each day at Gala Sunderland with the action starting from 12.45pm. The club opening hours are 12pm to 11pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 11pm Saturday and 12pm to 11pm Sunday.

Evening session times start at 6.45pm with first chance bingo with the main event evening session commencing at 7.30pm.

Prices

Gala Bingo is well known for its value for money pricing and the Sunderland branch is no different. All bingo sessions are priced between £4 and £6 with the only exception being the Sunday evening big prize money game which will cost you £11. The Sunday game does have 3 full houses worth £1,000 each though on top of some other big money prizes. First chance games cost £1.50 here with last-chance games costing £1 and you will also find other games and special offers for the chance to win big within the club.
