Bridgwater is a town in Somerset with a population of just under 40,000 and has a rich history to its name. The same could be said of the Mecca Bingo in Bridgwater that makes its home in an old cinema that has a history dating back to 1936. The bingo hall is now used exclusively as such and is one of the smaller Mecca bingo halls in the UK. Size doesn’t mean everything though and despite its cosy diminutive appearance, it packs a punch in terms of some its atmosphere and huge prizes that are regularly on offer.

Mecca Bridgwater has regular special offers to ensure that you are getting excellent value for money. There is a small selection of arcade and slot machines to be played in between games but the bingo comes fast and furious here so you might struggle between games, however, if you are staying for more than one session then you might fill your time there.

The restaurant and bar are excellent and provide good homemade food with a selection of hot, cold, soft and alcoholic drinks on offer. There is a cash machine inside the building itself should you need it and you will also find disabled facilities catered for well.

There is plenty going on in the locality of the club with Scott Cinema, Palace Nightclub and a really good Chinese Restaurant known as China Palace just around the corner – so you can make a real night of it without having to go far.

The nearest bus stop is the Cinema stop of Penel Orlieu which is right outside the bingo hall and you can take bus routes 14, 14, 613 or F to get there.

Opening Times

Mecca Bingo Bridgwater is open until 12 AM 7 days of the week but it’s opening time varies by the day. Doors open at 5 PM Monday to Thursday, at 11.30 AM on Friday, 11 AM on Saturday and 4:30 PM on Sunday.

Session times vary, especially in the afternoon. On Friday and Saturday you can expect a full afternoon of bingo from 12pm whereas the games don’t start until 5pm the rest of the week.

Evening sessions start at 6pm daily with the 2-page link. The main event takes place at 7 pm every evening.

Prices

Standard prices tend to be between £2.50 and £20 with the Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening main sessions at 7pm being the most expensive.

In addition to these prices, you can also play electronic bingo at Mecca Bridgwater with prices starting from £1 and going up to £105.
