Clifton Bingo York can be found in the Bootham area, just under a mile from York’s bustling city centre. The club benefits from a prime spot along the A19, making it easy to reach whether you’re coming from within the city or further afield. If you’re driving, you’ll find two customer car parks on nearby Burton Stone Lane, and there’s also limited on-street parking directly outside the venue. For those using public transport, several bus services, such as the 2a Park and Ride, 18, 30, 74, 875, and M31, will drop you off directly opposite the venue at Clifton Methodist Church.

As an independently run club, Clifton has a real community feel, with friendly staff and a more personal experience that regulars really enjoy. This really sets Clifton apart from some of the bigger national chains. Membership is free. Just bring along some photo ID, and the team will register you on your first visit. Alternatively, you can save time by signing up on their official website (linked above) and simply pick up your membership card when you arrive.

You can enjoy bingo seven days a week, with afternoon sessions running five days a week and evening games available every night. Their bingo packages offer excellent value for money, and if you follow their Facebook page, you’ll often come across extra treats like discount vouchers or even completely free sessions. The club also runs fun themed nights and celebrates holidays and special events with added perks, giveaways and goodies up for grabs!

Away from the main hall, there’s a bar serving all your favourite drinks and a kitchen cooking up freshly prepared meals at reasonable prices. If you’re looking for something lighter, snacks and soft drinks are also available. There’s even a pool table if you fancy something a bit more relaxed between games, or, if you’re feeling lucky, the slots area, which features a range of £100 jackpot machines!

Clifton Bingo York is open from 4.30 pm until 10 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 11.30 am until 10 pm the rest of the week.

The cashpot kicks off the afternoon action at midday, followed by the early session at 1 pm and the main at 1.30 pm. The evening games follow the same format, starting with the cashpot at 6.15 pm, then the early at 6.45 pm and main at 7.30 pm.

Prices

The prices listed below are known as the ‘Easy Price Package’ and include tickets for your early, main, big link, sweet-16, national, martians and bullseye. These are regular prices, and you may find cheaper prices available through the club’s various promotions. Full details of which can be found on the offical website or their Facebook page.

Afternoon Prices: Paper ticket prices start from just £5 on Sundays, rising to £11 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Electronic tickets are also the best value on Sundays, starting at £10, with prices ranging from £15 to £20 for the rest of the week.

Evening Prices: Paper sessions begin at £6 on Thursdays, with most other evenings priced between £10 and £20. For electronic bingo, sessions start from £15 on Thursdays, increasing to £20–£25 on weekdays and up to £30 at weekends.
